INVESTMENTS IN WAR LOAN.
<m . — — " — / ■ ••■ (Special to the Herald.X CHRISTCHURCH; this day. Mr. J. A. Frostick, Canterbury' Efficiency Commissioner, to-day remarked on tho fact last year a good many persons who contributed to the utmost of" their ability to the War Loan made their subscriptions by periodical repayments, .the last of which was made only a few weeks ago. This gave them hardly sufficient breathing space to 6tart a new subscription, and it has, been suggested that a •special extension of, say, three months, be made to those who subscribed last year. A great niany men had overy shilling invested, and it was not everybody who cared to go to a, bank for money. Extension of time would give them iui opportunity, however, to recover thefnselveg*. -T : ;
