French northerly winds prevailed over the Dominion .this morning. A northwest gale was blowing at Taupo. Rain was reported at New Plymouth, Wanganui, Wellington, Farewell Spit, passing showers at. Cape Maria, and drizzling rain at Taupo. Wanganui reported 148 points and Wellington 52 points of rainfall.
