King George replied: "I rejoice to think that America's sons are coming forward to . join m the world struggle for justice and freedom. The King has sent President Wilson .*a message containing greetings ou the anniversary of America's entry into the war, and referring to "the critical hour when our enemies aro sparing no sacrifice and counting no cost to achieve victory." King George has sent a message to the New York Chamber of Commerce expressing the opinioii that the vast resources of life and industry which America pledged to the cause of civilisation will assuredly lead tho Allies to prevail against their enemies.
