RUSSIANS DISINCLINED TO YIELD.
RED GUARDS' ACTIVITIES. ARMENIAN COUP AT ERZEROUM. (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) (Received April 6, 10.5 a.m.) LONDON, April 5. Russia is increasingly, disinclined to yield to Germany. ThV Russian Red Guards at present are fighting the Germans and White Guards in Finland. The Reds are also fighting Turks in Armenia, and are fighting Austro-Ger-mans in South Russia. The Reds, meanwhile, are concerting measures with the Entente for defence. ' The Germans in Turkey have expressed their willingness to make concessions to the Caucasian Diet in order to prevent war, and are . even ready to give up Batoum, which was secuned by the Brest Litovsk treaty" , The Armenian coup at Erzeroum, which j the Turks only occupied last month, iri j accordance with the treaty, apparently jeopardises the occupation 'of Trebizond. Tt is understood the Armenians ' and Georgians have formed a large army to defend Russian, Armenia.
