EXPLOSIONS IN FRANCE.
LONDON, March 18. Paris advices state that two terrific explosions occurred at Courneuve. Tho catastrophe announced at St. Denis was so serious that the Chamber of Deputies proposed, to adjourn as asign of mourning, but M. Deschanel asked ihe sitting to continue. The explosions, following fires, caused intense excitement. Glass was shattered everywhere, and shop fronts demolished m scores of streets. Legislators, deserted the Chamber of Deputies. At first it was believed that German aeroplanes had reached Paris without warning being given, but it was slowly realised that the explosion had been accidental. At least 30 persons were killed and many injured, though the wounds were mostly slight. Measures were quickly taken to resume work m the neighboring factories.
