EVERYBODY'S.. To-night's new programme at' Everybody's is a most tempting one, containing three distinctive features, viz., . "Then. l'll Come Back- to .You," a five-act ;. drama, "Her Nature Dance,'',, an. uncommonly orginal Keystone comedy, and -the select serial, "The Secret Kingdom. Larry Evans' famous story, "Then I'll Come ftack to You," has been made -into a perfect picture by the World Film Company. Alice Brady is the star, and her-:. work Is up to, the minute and full" of charm. The story opens with the meeting of the hero and heroine as two youngsters,'. and, the sioutly $worn love declaration of the' boy, which .gave rise to the title of the drama. When next- they meet, Steve -is \an onprineoi", and -the girl is- the daughter of the magnate whose /interests -are 'being thwarted by the energy -. and skill •of ■'•■ tho man ; , Thrills, follow m quick • order '; and the rjeality- of the scenes.- is astounding. The lumber drive gives a real idea of that, perilous occupation as the "lumber-jacks" jump- from one. log In another ?. m the foaming stream. , There is a great fight. Leo Gordon as the villain is masterly. The whole production -can be classed* as one. of the best World film dramas ever made. In "Her. Nature Dance, ".-.the. pick of- the Keystone girls : are featured m. a dainty and fascinating. .exhibition' of wonderful dancing. . This ..comedy 'j is .of the brightest and best, some' ingenious primitive, costumes being used . throughout* the picture. "The Secretv Kingdom" serial will I , he advanced . another sfage, the. -6th 'episode being entitled,/ "Human Driftwood," quite as -entertaining.) as its predecessors. -As usual a.i good Pathe Gazette is also on the programme. . . . • THE PALACE. The fact that a special screening of "The Kid from . Timaru" had • been -arranged for todays- matinee at-.the^Palace was responsible for an overwhelming audience. The. splendid picture and the stirring accompanying' recitation by; the author, Barrie Marschel,' were received with vociferous, applause. To-iiight's programme will be headed 'by a r remaTkable Metro film, ..entitled "Destiny," or /'The Soul of a Woman," with !j Emily Stevens m >the lead/' Although; a sad, -, 4 deep note Is. struck the picture is not morbid, : and the story will . greatly interest the onlooker. Strong sympathy, will ; ;be aroused for the mother who,' thrpughj a, terrible , mistake and later by w^akne^s, suffered as nn outcast. The theme is of a woman deserted by her artist husband when, he learns she has a past. He enters a house under the control of his mother, "The House of Lost Souls." Here ho is tempted by avarice, lust and rum. In the revelry he is crowned with a -fool's cap. The mother rushes m and rescues hint. She does not reveal her identity. The young man goes back to, the j monasteryLater he is given a pastorate. ' In a storm the mother seeks shelter 1 m the church and dies m the priest's arms, also without disclosing relationship. A strong supporting programme is also screened with "Destiny."
