OPSBORNK- CLUB. Ideal weather was experienced for bowiin-r on the Gisborne Club's green. In the handicap* singles game, Maude defeated Grieve 'by 19 to 16. One game each m the A and B grades was played off, m addition to the ordinary games, which resulted as follows: — A Grade Challenge Fours: In this game the holders, comprising Messrs Buliook, Harris, Hueston, and Craig, were defeated by the challenging team, consisting of "Messrs Jeune, Ponsford, Beat- ' son-,. and A. Seymour, by 20 to 15. *. B Grade: The holders, Messrs Puflett, , Michie; H. Miller, and- Ash ton, succeed eel m defeating the challenging team, com- f f)osed of -Messrs Hooper, Primrose, Finday, and Leslie, by 18 to 16. • Handicap Singles : Claude 19 v. Grieve 16. Ordinary games : Doddrell and Hamilton 22 v. Jones and Oxenham. 20 ; Graham, Corson, Kyme, and Spacfcman 26 v. Laird, R. Seymour, Thacker, and Crawford 21; Bono and o'Meara 21 v. Witty and Cruikshank 24; J. R. MiKer. Hall, Redstone 24 v. E'iliott, Stubbing, and Gordon 10.
