In the House of Commons Lord Robert Cecil categorically denied that the Western Allies were cont«mplating a separate peace independent of Russia and Rumania. He said the Government was determined to stand by Russia and assist m maintaining her new found liberty. Rumania might be assured that we would not, desert her.
