TOWN EDITION.
The revenue derived from the Gisborne section of railways for the four weekly period ending May 26, was £1942, as against £2044 for "the same peried last year. The passengers carried totalled . 5843 (5800), stock carried 8460 (4611), goods, 4262 tons (4166 tons). The expenditure was £1295 (£1260). Wairoa hospital has been for a long time without the services of a medical man, and a public indignation meeting was' held last week to consider the position. The meeting called on the Hospital Board to resign, and the members will probably adopt this course.
