Le Matin states there has been revolutionary demonstrations at Prague for some days. The workmen's committee, representing every i\octary m the city, issued a manifesto, demanding a constitutional Assembly for Czechs on a basis of universal suffrage, the purpose being the founding of an independent Czech state. Tens of thousands of the inhabitants assembled at Johna's . monument and sang a. Slav hymn, adding the words, "Russia and France are with us." i Tli© demonstrators afterwards, appeared ! opposite the German Club. Gendarme? ; charged the" demonstrators, and many iwere -wounded. _ There were similar riots m the principal WBohemian towns.
