ANARCHISTS IN PETROGRAD. ENEMY AIR RAIDS ON RIGA. (Renter's Telegram. l PETROGRAD. June 20. Anarchists Avith three machine guns established themselves m buildings m the populous centime of the town. Two companies of Guards and Cossacks surrounded the building and compelled them to surrender. The anarchists Avere sent to gaol. Five German hyrdoplanes fleAv pver the Russian base on the Riga front, and dropped 41 bombs on sheds, ships, and batteries, but these were unsuccessful. The hostile machines Avere driven off by the coast batteries, which on several successive days brilliantly repulsed a number of fruitless airship attacks. Petrograd neAvspapers expose the German effort to demoralise the Russian Army. Germans threw a praclamation into the Russian trenches, inviting peace discussion and • pointing out that Germany had always been devoted to the cause of peace. o*ne exhortation said : "Show the Japanese and other foreigners , who are commanding your artillery that ! pure Russians are alone masters jon the Russian front, and that foreigners* rule must cease."
