The Press Bureau reports : Tlie King, desiring, owing to ' war conditions, that those princes of his family who aro his subjects but bear German names and titles should relinquish them and adopt British surnames, lias, therefore conferred tbe following peerages : The Duke of Teck to Princes Louis and Alexander of Battenburg and created Marquesses and Prince Alexander of Teck an earl.
