NO NEW TAXES
INCREASES FOR TOBACCO' AND EXCESS PROFITS.

(Received May 3, 8.45 a.m.) LONDON, May 2. In the House of Commons, Mr. Bonar Law Chancellor of the Exchequer, delivered his Budget. He said that no new taxes were proposed, only increases. The tobacco duty would be increased to 22d pei- pound. Excess profits were, to be increased to 80 per oent. Entertainments would yield another million and a-half. -
