KING'S MESSAGE TO NEW ZEA-
LANDERS
SPLENDID SERVICES IN THE
GREAT WAR
(Australian and N.Z Oahlp \ssori ation. (Received May 2, 2.50 p.m.) LONDON^ May 1. The Press Bureau states that the King m a message to Brigadier-General Johnston , said : —
"It was a pleasure to me to inspect the training units of my New Zealand troops and thus show my appreciate . of the splendid services m the greal war. You are representatives m the Motherland of the comrades whose glorious deeds m Gallipoli, Egypt Palestine, and Flanders have helped t immortalise the name of Anzac. Fron the appearance displayed by all rankt' on parable I am satisfied you, m youturn, will uphold, the fame of th< regiments to which you belong."
