The Morning Post's correspondent states that, the German counter-attacks were delivered with a- reckless courage unparalleled since the early days of .the war, indicative that the enemy's affairs are approaching a supreme crisis. Prince Rupprecht's staff wasted men lavishly m an attempt to restore the left flank to a, position- of vital importance.
Troop trains continue to \inload fresh regiments of Wujttembergers and Prussian Guards on the far side of Douai Plain, while divisions are withdrawn from other points to strengthen the breaches ia the Hindenbu-rg line south of the River Scarf© at Hill 70, also norbh of Loos, Gavreile, Mbncfoy and Fontaine-Hfive storm-centres which' are involved. There have been exceptionally heavy German losseß.
