(JapUiin Henry William .Murray, of the Ausuaaan Infantry, for most conspicuous bravery in an autack. Three heavy counter-attacks were aeat-en off, due to Captain Murray's wonderful work. Through the night ihe company suffered heavy* casualties chrough concentrated enemy shell lire. On one occasion they gave ground for a short way, but Capla.u Murray gallantly rallied hia command, and saved Lhe situation by sheer valor, encouraging the men, heading bombing parties, leading oayonet chargesy and carrying the wounded to places of safety. His magnificent exai^Po inspired the men throughout.
