Mr Long says: "I am confident it is the unanimous wish of everv one in the country that we should be* allowed to undertake tljis charge and make it our duty that the last resting place of those of our overseas brothers who have fallen far from their homes may not be unworthy of their sacrifice and the cause for which they gave their lives. Their kinsfolk may be sure their graves will be tended with loving care." Mr Massey replied expressing New Zealand's appreciation of the offer.
