The monthly meeting .of. the Waiapu County Conncil failed 1 owing to want __ a quorum, only the cliairman (Mr K. S. Williams) and Crs. _*_ : . B. Williams, Bi. R. Murphy, and R. AY. Kemp being present. The state of the roads and the, height of the rivers easily account For the absence ' of" the Others. * Tlie reports of the Engineer and Overseer were read, and - the matter of flood la mage was gone into by the councillors present. Ihe Engineer and Overseer were instructed to travel over the county and inspect the ctamage done by the recent floods and report to the ["hairman. The next meeting of the Council will be held on March 26th.
