Ferguson (Wellington), Guiisoit (Auckland) ]Moss (Eketahuna), Frostick (Christ church), and Hunt (Ir.v«rcargill). Tin last four will sjiecially deal with Auckland^ Wellington, Canterbury, and Otago anc Southland respectively. Mr. Ferguson, as chairman j will iissist Mr. Moss whei required. The functions of the Board are set out m 27 articles. The Board may summon witnesses and examine them on oath. The term of office is until re \yked, or for twelve niOnths after thf termination of the war. Three reports have already been received from the Board. The first deals ; with the organisation necessary to en- , able it to carry out its duties, and has been approved. Each member wili nominate voluntary expert advisers- for ! propointment by the Government. Th£ Board will seek the assistance of existing organisations m order to co-ordin-ate the producing, manufacturing, labor; commercial, and distributing interests.The second report recommended immediate facilities for the management of soldiers' farms and businesses.- 1 . • The third report dealt with a scheme fov the purchase of' such farms by the State, and is still under consideration. As soon as possible the Board will I consider the classification of industries.
