Von Bethmann Hollweg's antagonists wrote to the Kaiser demanding a new Chancellor, accusing Von 'Bethmann Hollweg of being allied with Scheidemann, and thirty of Tirpitz's leading supporters organised a, platform of a compaign demanding that General Hindenhurg become Chancellor. The .Socialists and Liberals ridicule the movement.
