NEARLY ALL LIVES SAVED

NEW ZEALAND MAILS GO DOWN

(Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) LONDON, February 27. The Ounnard Company states that there were 295 persona aboard the Laconia and practically all wero saved, including 220 of tho crew and 70 passengers, of whom half were first * class. The Laconia carried Australian and New Zealand mails, which, it is feared, were lost.
