ALLIES' TERMS MAKE IMPRESSION IN AMERICA.

The Allies' terms have caused the deepest impression that Britain is fighting for the benefit of humanity and civilisation and witn unprecedented unselfishness. This impression . destroys Count BernstorfFs attempt to persuade America that Britain is using the Allies as a catepaw. The opinion m Washingto4i is .that Germany intends to make a further peace move and will probably publish her terms. The United Press says that Germany « terms are m possession of President Wilson. They include the evacuation of Belgium, with indemnity; the/evacuation of France, Rumania, Serbia, and Poland, without indemnity. The Allies must return the German colonies, and take no territory from Germany's allies. Count Bernstorff announces- that Germany does not intend ruthless submarining. He considers the Allies' reply proof of the effort to crush Germany.
