A new order issued by Lord Devon port requires the extraction of an extra five per cent, of flour from wheat, or the addition of five per cent, from barley, maize, rice, and pats. It empower* a miller to,- add a further five per cent, voluntarily. It forbids the feeding ot animals with wheat suitable for seed ov flour. The manufacture of chocolate ia mad' more costly. The price is 3d an ounco retail, and for other sweets 2d. Re tailers are forbidden to sell or the public, to purchase them after March 1. The, order also restricts the quantity of sugar used m confectionery. .
