GERMANY'S TROUBLES.
SERIOUS OUTLOOK IN REGARD TO WAR PENSIONS.

AMSTERDAM, January 11 General von Stein, in a proclamation to the German people indicating the serious outlook in regard to war pensions, urges the people to employ soldiers invalided from the war. He says Germany's finances are so hard hit that she is unable te support . invalids for many years, since 'tin* number is Continually increasing. AMSTERDAM, January 1%. ihe National Liberal Deputy, Heir Stressemann, in the course of his speech ' at Hanover, added: "It is impossible *o collect the large amount of new taxation necessitated by the war, and then°fore it will be necessary to confiscate immediately one-third or a quarter bf •iJI pri vato- fortunes."
