MARAROA IN A GALE
DFCKS CONTINUALLY AWASH;
(Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. The Mararoa arrived from Lyttelton this morning two hours' late. The decks' wer«' continually awash. A quantity' of water found its way into tho saloon. ■ ' In the heavy seaway off Wellington Heads one of the ship s boats was considerably damaged through tho falls carrying away. Several members of tho qiiew sustained minor injuries. The officers state that it is one nf tho worst trips in their- experience of the Wellington-Lyttelton ferry service. The Governor, Lord Liverpool, was amongst the passengers.
