In the, course of a debate in the Chamber of .Deputies to-day regarding "Embusques," of those evading service .at the front, General Rooques, the Minister of War, stated' that since the passing of the Dalbiez laiw, 206,000 young men had been "recovered" from -the civil zone and sent to the army zone. Many ofi them,- he said, have been replaced! by women, of whom 53,000 are employed on other work than munition making.
