He. states that he represented some of the parties involved. When the. Act wa? passed an assurance was given thateverything would be secret. This as surance had been broken. The evidence has not been published, but the finding* dealing with selected items of. the , evi dence were published, broadcast. The parties accused were deprived of the constitutional rights of trial by jury. . (United Service.) LONDON. January 5. A contributor to the Evening Stan dard quotes letters passing between Barrett and Mrs CbrnwaHis West, showing how she pursued;. him with her attentions. Finally Barrett wrote making it clear he preferred the path'of duty, concluding: "I only want to live a good life, and serve God and King." The contributor adds that Mrs 'West inform-. 1 ed General Mackinnon that BaTrett pursued her, .frightening her, and broke in to her bedroom ;> therefore she requested liis removal. West's allegations proved untrue. The Daily Mail states that Mrs Cornwallis West has decided to retire from all public life.
