FRENCH INFANTRY IN ATHENS.
(Received October 19. 2.35 p.m.) ATHENS, October. 18. A French detachment went to Mnteen, and' there camped in the Zappeion ECai'dens, close to the Palace. It marched through th-a principal streets, being reoeived with silence, except for an oc* casional shoat, "Long Live Germany." Half a.n lioiu-, later a battalion of Greek infantry surrounded the Palace.
