NEW ZEALANDERS IN LONDON.
ENTERTAINING CONVALESCENT SOLDIERS. (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) LONDON. October 157 The New Zealand War Contingent Association entertained many convalescents gathered from the hospitals around London.. ■ Mr. and Mrs. Massey and Sir Joseph and Lady Ward were present and conversed with the men. ' Mr. Massey congratulated them on the good reputation they had earned on all Hands and, on behalf of New Zealand, thanked them for performing their duty. He expressed the grateful thanks of. New Zealand to the women m London for the noble work they had done among the New Zealand wounded. Sir Joseph Ward, supporting Mr. Massey, said he knew they would try and uphold New Zealand's honor and fighfc -to the last. There could be no talk of any makeshift i>eace.
