HUNS JUSTIFY SLAVERY.
THE LILLE DEPORTATIONS. (Reuter's Telegram.) (Received October 16, 9.15 a.m;) AMSTERDAM, October 15. A committee of the Reichstag discussed the Lille deportations, i Herr Helferrich and representatives of the Home and Foreign Offices, • contended that the deportations were internationally legal. There was a shortage of workmen m Germany, and idle foreigners could not be. allowed to burden the relief funds. It was admitted blunders were unavoidable.
