The Morning Post's Athens correspopdent states that th c ' Entente Powers are taking strong measures against the Hellenic Government. Admiral Dn Fournet proceeded; to. Athens, and. m the name of the Allies demanded the surrender of the torpedo flotilla, the 7 dis.. armament of the large ships and shore batteries: also the transfer of the Piraeus-Larissa railway, the policing of Piraeus harbor, and Salami's, arsenal. The Government handed formal acquiescence to the British Legation. Other Athens messages state that t)w ultimatum' was due to the necessity of securing tho safety of the Allied fleet m view of the activities of pro-German societies m Greece. The forts whereof the surrender is required commanded the moorings of the Franco-British fleets.
