GERMANS' SAVAGE DERISION.

(Australian and N.Z; Cable Association.) (Received August 19, 11.15 a.m.) BERNE, August 18. Germany received Mr Asquith's Fryatt statement with outbursts of savage' derision. The Strasburger Zeitung states : If relations are not resumed it will be because Germany lias decided to boycott the criminal English. The Allegemoine Zeitung states : We and not the British Government shall decide when diplomatic relations shall be resumed and on what terms. The Bayrischer Kurier deo'ares : We despise England's threats. They mean nothing. We shall shoot as many Fryatts as we can catch. Tho British anger rejoices us intensely. .
