Mr. Shepherd was returning from, an overflow, meeting held by Mr. Hughes at Conway,; ai-id alighted from a motor car upon entering the Conway suspension bridge. Here he produced a pocket camera and took a 'snapshot of the bridge r The military regulations prohibit photographing m the neighborhood, and the quick eye of a sentry detected the offence.; The camera was confiscated, and M**. Shepherd was marched under arrest to the guard room. Subsequently Mr. Hughes appeared, explanations were given, and the secretary was released, but thg negatives taken, were destroyed.
