SOUTHEIINERS^DEMANDS CONCEDED. FURTHER CONCESSIONS SOUGHT. (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) (Received July 18' 11.40 .a.m.) LONIJON, July 17. Tho Moaning Post's Tientsin correspondent' states : With the issue of ' a mandate ordering the arrest and trial of eight of the principal monarchists m Pekin the Government have practically conceded the southern demands. They liave revived the Nanking constitution, re-convened Parliament, and attempted to form a coalition Cabinet. Nevertheless, the prospects of conciliation, of the north and south remain unsatisfactory. Each concession incites the southerners to fresh demands. Northern generals are urging the President to refuse further concessions.
