AN ORGANISATION ,SOHEME. (Per Press. Association.) WELMXGTON, last night. Representatives of the Women's National Reserve,. discussed with the Minis.ter for Internal* Affairs to-day arrangements for a national register of women. Tlie Minister stated subsequently that the executive had jjromised to submit a definite scheme for "his consideration. The reserve would undertake the preparation cl; a register /with the object of providing women who -were prepared to take the place of men required m the forces. "Tlie first part of the scheme," ho said, "will -. be to provide thoroughly efficient and certified lady stenographers, typists, and clerks, who , wi.l l»3 able to take the places of men leaving for the front. This will bo of [ material assistance to those employers i who" have shown their patriotism by •ilkrwing members, of their staffs to enlist, and by. an oven more important considerati6n. will release men who have been unablo to enlist owing to the difficulties they would creato for their employer*. Details of the scheme will be worki?d out within the next Cew days. Provision will bo made for the issue of 'certificates of efficiency to registered women through » properly-qualified examiner, probably a public officer. It is probable that the .formation, of .training classes on a larger scale than ' has yet been attempted will be undertaken. The women, of course, are not goinp to .work m honorary capacities. They will b,-i paid at tho current rates by their . employers, and a sca.'o of wages will lie drawn up by. the National Reserve for their use..
