THE ALLIES' CO-OPERATION.
(Received January 21. 8.20 a.m.) 1 LONDON, January 20. The Times military correspondent says the failure of the Allies to begin the offensive simultaneously greatly advantaged Germany; therefore the AlHed' War Council should approximate the attacks on the general offensive that would hurt Germany most. The rapid inert ise in our heavy howitzers and muniti >ns generally will render co-operation possible. Ouir future artillery attacks must grow more deadly. The predominance of cavalry officers in. the higher commandia needs attention. Many of us wou^di feel happier if more consideration was given to infantry artillery officers in future appointments.
