SWEET PEA SHOW.
Judging of the .exhibits displayed m the sweet pea show -was concluded at 3 p.m., when the exhibition was thrown open for inspection. The choice blooms were much admired, but it was to be regretted that a little more space was not available to separate the various exhibits to better advantage. The additional awards were as follows : — Decorated Classes: Clans 16, vase of sweet peas with any foliage arranged fw effect (4 entries): Mrs Loisel 1, Mrs W. G. Cuthbert 2. Class 17, basket of sweet peas (1 entry) : Mrs Loisel 1. Class 18, bowl of sw«et peas any foliage for effect (5 entries): Mrs Loisel 1, Mips Morice 2. The allocation of points resulted m Mr Jackman scoring 31 points, Mr Geo. Stevenson 26 points, and Mr W. B. Willock 12 points. This mean* that Mr Jackman retains tho Bociety'B championship cup and Mr A. J. Cox's Cup for amateurs for another year. It is interesting to note that Mr Jackman carried off the championship this year with the same pea, "Orange Perfection," as last year.' The second award m class 2 should read A. H. Jackman and the third prize m class 1 should- be Mts Holdawoith. *
