Ruru, wnich brought a cargo of shingle from Napier for this port, left last night lor Tokomaru Bay, with* stevedores to work the New Zealand Shipping Co's s.s. Hurunul at that port. Messrs Richardson and Co's s.s. Ripple arrived from -Napier and Wellington this morning with a full general cargo. The .steamer soils this evening, with cargo and passengers, or Napier and Wellington. Next week the vessel arrives from south on Thursday morning, and. sails m tbe evening for Napier with passengers. The Ripple leaves the latter port on Saturday evening for Gisborne, arriving here again on Sunday morning, and leaving immediately afterwards for Wellington direct. The Union S.S. Co's Tarawera left Wellington last night at 10.40 for Napier and Gisborne. The steamer ■is expected lo arrive m Napier about 5 o'clock this afternoon, and leaves for Gisborne between 11 p.m. and midnight, arriving here about 7 a.m. to-morrow. The vessel will be tendered on arrival and at 10 o'clock, and leaves for Auckland and Tokomaru Bay later. . The Union S.S. Co's Paloona, which leaves Auckland to-morrow afternoon for Gisborne) and south, is expected to arrive; on Sunday afternoon at this : port, being tendered on arrival and at 6.45 p.m., and leaves for south later m the evening. The Union S.S. Co's Rosamond leaves Auckland to-morrow afternoon for Gisborne, via Tolaga Bay, with a general cargo, and on completing discharging operations at this port sails m the afternoon for Auckland direct. ' Messrs Richardson and Co's s.s. Mako is expected to arrive from Auckland and Coast bays with a general cargo on Sunday, and sails on Monday night for Napier, Coast bays, and Auckland. - Messrs Richardson and iCo's s.s. Squall is expected to arrive with a lull cargo of ' timber for Gisborne from Greymouth direct. The vessel due from south next Wednesday is the U.S.S. Hurunui is to arrive m Gisborne on Tuesday next, to load about 20,000 carcases from the Gisborne Sheepfarmers' Frozen Meat Company. This shipment will leave both wprks clear for the commencement of the new season. The steamer Moura, a one time wellknown Union Company steamer, now at Auckland, has been purchased; and is to proceed to China,' where -she will enter tbe coastal trade. •
