An Australian officer, m a letter, warmly praises the splendid work of the New Zealand engineers, and says: "It was greatly owing to their neverfailing energy that we were able to hold many of the most dangerous positions. A young New Zealand officer within eight days countermined and blew up five Turkish positions."
