GERMANY'S HUGE DEBT.
PARIS, July 27. The Basle correspondent of the Matin states that, according to the Neves Wiener Tageblatt, the German public debt has leapt since the beginning of the war from £1, 100,0^0,000 to £1,940,---000,000, while that of Austria has risen from £816,000;000 to £1,040,000,000.
