The Premier announces .thftt he has approved of £50 -jeing made available to enable the committee, of which Professor David is chairman, to conduct experiments with and report to the Gtfvernment upon the wireless rain-making device invented by Mr Balsillie, the Commonwealth , wireless expert. Professor David has informed the Premier that Mr Balsillie has on two occasions fully explained his method and. apparatus to the committee appointed by the Govenment. The commitee is of opinion that the inventor has bo far succeeded .m his preliminary experi* merits that it feels justified m itself experimenting on a small scale preparatory to carrying out larger experiments.
