NEW ZEALAND NURSES.
SENT TO~ EGYPT. "(Received May 28, 9 a.m.) LONDON, May 27. Tho Empire Parliamentary Associatio: entertained New Zealand nurses at th< f Houses of Parliament prior to their departure for Egypt. The 50 nurses who went to England by the Rotorua are now going tt Egypt. The next contingent of 100, 31 of whom have already sailed, were originally destined for Egypt and Malta, 50 to each place, but the Defence Authorities' liave now been advised that they are ordered to England. There has been a perfect avalanche of appliI cations by nurses for enrolment m the v .contingent, but it is unlikely, owing tq |y&he risk of depleting the hospital staff a p_*Tn. New Zealand, that the Government will send more than 100 nurses.
