The Hawke's Bay Land Board met at Gisborne this morning. Present : The Commissioner of Crown Lands (Mr W. H. Skinner), Messrs A. J. Cameron uud'L. McKay. TRANSFERS. M. McDonald and It. Wilson to M. McDonald. .Section 4, block 10, Knnakanaia setidenient.; 745 acres (land for settlement) — Agreed to recommend approval. W. G. Jones to Alex*. E. Coop -was' called m. — Bub^a,u,e,ntly they Board considered the matter m committee. — The application was granted, provided a suitable person is nominated to reside permanently for the remaining term of the lease. ~ \A subsequent resolution was passed, accepting Mr B. Marchant as a substitute.
Messrs Nolan and Skeet, on behalf of J. Clark, applied for compensation for value of improvements effected of Education Endowment sections 4 ami 5 block. Turangamit, to be re-offered for lease on 28th April, 1915.'; — Referred to the Under-Secretarv of Lands.
The Ooinmisioner reported that rf.. Dudley, had,/ failed; to complete the purchase under deferred payment of section 3, block 9, Turanganui (To Arai setlement), and suggested that the contract to purchase be cancelled. — This was agreed to, the Commissioner remarking that this was really at Mr Dudley's own request.
