WE UNDOUBTEDLY HAVE THE ASCENDANCY.
GERMANS RAVE LOST OVER A MILLION IN WESTERN THEATRE. (Press Assn.—By Telegraph— Copyrtgtit.l (Received March 27, 2.15 p.m.) PARIS, 'March 26. General Jolfit, interviewed, said the long war iv the trenches had enabled tho Allies to increase their resources. We undoubtedly have the ascendancy. The Germans, he tsaid, have lost over a million to our army. Tlieir oiheers are brave, but nearly all have lalleu. The imperial Guard is only a collection of uniforms and historical memory. The Germans are so weakened morally that tho officers are forced to lead them to fight m cqmpact formation, where they fall an easy prey to our gunners. lt is an error to believe that any army is better every day or that it can rally indefinitely.
