DEATH OF MR G. A. BEERE.
The death occurred this afternoon, with painful suddenness, of Mr G. A. Beere, an ojd and respected resident of Gisborne. Mr Beere had only recently returned from a holiday trip to Auckland, and during this morning he appeared m hia usual good state of health. Thia afternoon he became unwell, and did not revive, heart failure being the cause of death. The deceased gnetleman was for many years m tlie local Land and Survey Olfice, and the news of his death will be received with much regret by his many friends. He took a keen interest m all good work, and endeared himself to all ny his kindly nature. He was pre-deceased by his wife, and leaves a grown-up family comprising Major A. G. Beere, Messrs George, Dan, audi Arthur Beere, Mrs Arlidge, Mrs Maunsell, ; Mrs A. 0. Burne, and Misses Lily and May Beere.
The interment will be private
