ITALY GREECE BULGARIA AND ROUMANTA.
EXPECTED TO STDE WITH THE ALLIES. TO STAY THE APPALLING .SLAUGHTER.
j London! \hn<h 26. Mr VV. McKenzie, tho war correspond[ent, states that highly-placed Roumanians anticipate that Roumania will declare war on the side of the Allies this week, aud that Bulgaria at\d Greece wijl soon follow. - SYDNEY, March 26. The Italian aviator, Comle Dignelli. has arrived by the Orontes, bringing a Farman biplane, 'which the Comte has lent to the British Government for instructional purposes m Australia for a period of four years. The fact is a significant indication of Italy's war attitude. FREMANTLE, March 26. English files contain an interview with General Riccirtti Garibaldi, who declared that m the course of a month or two Germany would make a desperate and supremo effort to turn the tide of fortune. The Allies would then need every man and overy gun to check and overthrow the onslaught. He said emphatically that an overwhelming majority of Italians favored immediate intervention. Italy could put two million thoroughly efficient men m the field, and 1,300,000 at the outset. Greece and Roumania would follow Italy's lead with another million men. With Italy, Greece, Servia, and Roumania linked together and joining hands m the west with France and England, and m the east with Russia, the ring of steel encircling the Dual Alliance would be complete. • Italy alone could strike at the armies of Germany and Austria 'at their weakest point. She could command both theatres, while a combination of forces such as indicated would inevitably hasten tjie termination of the war and stay the appalling slaughter ahd mutilation of European youth and chivalry.
