The secretary of the local branch of the Royal Life Saving Society, states that lady bathers are interesting themselves; m the meeting to be held tonight. Enquiries have been received from several, who desire to know if they are eligible to become members. He says there is no reason why a ladies' ■ branch could not be formed m conjunction with the men's, the same as m several towns the size of < Gisborne. It is a wise move to get the ladies interested m this important project. It is not necessary for a person to be a strong swimmer, as all the important work of resuscitation is not performed m the water.
