ALL FOR ENGLAND.

HOPE FOR RUSSIAN BROTHERS. PERTH, Sept. 11. Tho Jewish Rabbi, the Rev. D. I. Freedman, speaking at a meeting of the Jewish conununity, on the subject of the movement to rendeiv assistance to the wounded, said that the Jewish community felt proud to pay homage to the throne and person of King George., It was a section of the community Which both m times of peace and stress was always ready to do every duty that befell it. He was sorry that .tlie occasion was clouded by issues tliat confronted tho Empire, but they honored those wlio had npt feared to unsheath the sword m tho cause of right. England was standing true to her plighted word m the face of great sacrifices. This was a. tihic when everyone should do their duty. He made mention of the lame nuhibef of Jews who were fighting with tho allied armies, and estimated it at 500,000. Ho was certain that m tho plucky stand of England's brave soldiers there were ■•many who belonged to the House of Israel. They were proud of Britain's soldiers, whom the enemy was so afraid to meet on equal terms. Jews were lighting for the cause for which Britain bad bared hoy arms, and they would stand side by side m order to secure that victory which he was sure would com© to tlie Allies. He was glad ; that out of tho war some good was coming to his own people m Russia, and it seemed to him that it was the beginning of a new era for them and for Bussia herself : His people m all parts of Australia were anxious to do their duty., and would rally round the Hag that had been unfurled ,for right, honor, and liberty. There were many ways m which ■ they . could help. Tliey had .already given a send-off -to some of their men. who wero proud that they were going to do their duty fur King and country. mmmmmmmmmm—mmtmamm
