The/ desirableness of a uniform scale of salaries for nurses throughout the dominion baa been urged upon the Minister of Public Health by Mr J. A. Young, who states that at present the various boards m. New Zealand axe working under different conditions and rates of pay, and that this is not a desirable state of affairs. The Minister says ' that the matter is one for the hospital boards to consider.
