SEVENTY LIVES LOST.
(Press Assn.— By Telegraph— Copy right.l * (Received Sept. 21, 9.40 a.m.) NEW YORK, Sept. 20. The steamer Francis Leggett foundered m a gale on Friday. Seventy people were drowned, including fifty-one passengers. There were only two sur- ' vivors. ■
